Look around anywhere on the internet and everybody is imploring the need for ‘more’.
More hustle
More grind
More of literally anything
But what if more actually get you less?
Less appreciation for what you have
Less time for your loved ones
Less self-worth and self-esteem
The hype is in the perceived increased outcome. But when does the need for more become satisfied?
If we’re only ever looking to get ‘more’ then we’ll always believe that the current situation is ‘less’.
Is it possible that more can never be achieved? That we’ll forever consider ourselves to be less?
There’s a healthy balance between wanting more and needing it.
That’s not to say that we shouldn’t be striving for better things, but that it shouldn’t be the sole focus. Where we are now is a product of our desire for better in the past, so appreciate it.
And make sure to be aware of what ‘enough’ looks like to you.
You may already be there.
